SUMMARY
• MS Mechatronics and Robotics Major with experience in Python, control systems and a love for robotics
• Current Thesis project over Real-Time Control of a Robotic Arm with a Motion Capture Camera
• Worked on other fun and challenging projects such as a 1/5th scale autonomous fire truck and 3d printing face shields during Covid-19
• Completed Internship with Baker Hughes over the Summer of 2022 designing Test Benches using NI’s Compact Rio and programming in LabView 2021
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
BAKER HUGHES LAB ENGINEER INTERNSHIP
May 2022 – August 2022
• Designed, Wired, and Programed Test Benches at the Energy Innovation Center’s Laboratory
• Spec’d and installed industrial sensors (Flow Meters, Pressure Transducers, Thermocouples and Speed)
• Control System was the Compact-Rio using LabView and industrial communications ( Modbus, 0-10V, 4-20mA)
• Electrical and Power Distribution Cabinet (208V, 120V, 24V, 12V) interfaced with a touch screen HMI
GRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT
January 2021 - Present
• Controlling a Robotic arm from over 600 miles away with hand motions in near Real-Time.
• Coding Control algorithms using data from multiple APIs in Python on Linux systems.
• Tested Multiple forms of Visualizing the Robotic arm’s Movements (Zoom, Gazebo, VR headset)
SENIOR DESIGN PROJECT TEACHER ASSISTANT
August 2020 - May 2021
• Assist students with LabView and Python programming (MyRIO and Raspberry Pi)
• Sensor integration (GPS, Lidar, Camera, etc.) as well as Serial communications (UART, I2C, etc.)
• Assist students with programming and tuning a PID control system.
ENDEAVOR LAB TECHNICIAN
January 2019 - January 2020
• Assist students in using lab equipment (3-D printers, laser cutters, PCB mills)
• Troubleshoot and Reviewed PCB designs (KiCAD, Eagle, Fusion 360)
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed while using equipment.
AUTONOMOUS AIRCRAFT FIREFIGHTING AND RESCUE VEHICLE (SENIOR PROJECT)
August 2019 - May 2020
• Programmed the Fire detection and cone tracking algorithms using OpenCV with Python on a Raspberry Pi.
• Allowing for fully Autonomous Fire Tracking that provide the distance, angle, and positioning of the fire.
• Designed a PID controller to allow fast and steady acquiring of the fire/cones while the truck was in motion.
HUBER ENGINEERED WOODS ELECTRICAL INTERNSHIP
